Our Journey

When I look back at our story, I can honestly say that it is one I never could have planned for myself.

Rayan and I met when we were younger. At that time, we were simply friends, both serving and leading in our own areas. We had our own responsibilities, our own plans, and our own seasons of growing up. I did not know then that the person I knew as a friend would one day become my husband, the father of my child, and the person I would build a life with.

Rayan is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Theology from the Institute of Mission and Discipleship in the Philippines (IMDP). After graduating, he served at Christian Gospel Church – Tagbilaran (CGCT) and eventually took on more responsibilities in ministry. Today, he works remotely as an SEO Link Builder while also serving as an Admin Pastor at CGCT.

As for me, I grew up as a pastor’s child, so church life has always been a big part of who I am. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery and became a Licensed Midwife. Over the years, I also served in the church as a youth leader, and today I continue serving through the worship team at CGCT. I now work remotely as a Healthcare Virtual Assistant.

For a long time, Rayan and I were just friends. Nothing dramatic. No big love story in the beginning. We were simply two people who happened to know each other, serve in the same church community, and live our own lives. But years later, things changed.

We became a couple in May 2021. Two years after that, in May 2023, we got married. Then in March 2025, we welcomed our firstborn son. Sometimes I still find it amazing how life unfolds.

The person who was once just a friend became my husband. We went from serving in church as young people to building a home, raising a child, working, serving in ministry, and figuring out adulthood together.

And if I had to describe our story in one word, it would be grace. Not because everything has been easy. Not because we always get things right. And definitely not because life always goes according to plan. But because through every season, God has continued to provide, sustain, guide, and carry us.

Marriage has stretched us in different ways. Parenthood has completely changed our daily life. Work can be demanding. The ministry also requires time and commitment. There are seasons when everything seems to happen all at once.

But somehow, God keeps making room.

One of the things I have become especially grateful for is the opportunity for both of us to work remotely. At first, working from home may seem like nothing more than a career setup. But for our family, it has become one of the ways God has given us more flexibility. Because we work remotely, we are able to spend more time with our family while still providing for our needs. We are also able to remain active in ministry without having to choose between our careers and serving in church.

That does not mean life is always balanced perfectly. Some days are busy. There are deadlines, calls, household responsibilities, church activities, rehearsals, meetings, parenting duties, and moments when I feel like there are not enough hours in the day. But I am still grateful for the kind of life we are able to build.

Working remotely has allowed us to be more present. Present for our son. Present for each other. Present for our family. And present in the ministry God has placed us in. It has also taught me that God’s provision is not always just about money. Sometimes His provision looks like flexibility. Sometimes it is time. Sometimes it is an opportunity that allows you to stay close to the people who matter most. And sometimes it is simply being able to serve where you are needed while still taking care of your own home.

We are still learning. I am still learning how to be a better wife, a better mother, a better daughter, and a better servant of God. We are learning how to balance work, family, marriage, and ministry without losing sight of what truly matters. And in the middle of all of that, I have learned to appreciate ordinary moments more.

A quiet meal together. Working side by side at home. Preparing for church. Watching our son grow. Laughing over something completely random after a long day. Going on simple family trips. Or simply sitting together and realizing how much life has changed. These are the moments I want to remember.

And that is one of the reasons we created Our Blessed Journey.

This space is where I want to share parts of our life—our faith, family, marriage, parenthood, ministry, work, travels, lessons, and the ordinary moments in between. I do not want this to be a place where everything looks perfect, because our life is not perfect. It is simply a life that has been deeply touched by the grace of God.

There are still dreams we are praying for, plans we hope to pursue, places we want to visit, and many things we are still learning. But when I look at where we started and where God has brought us now, I am reminded that He has been faithful through every chapter.

Our story began with friendship. It grew into love. Love became marriage. Marriage became family. And through it all, God’s grace has remained constant.

That is our story.

And this is Our Blessed Journey.
